Squash Birthday Pie

Crust: You can use any pre-made graham cracker crusts, available at most grocery stores.
Pie: I used the One-Pie New England Squash Pie recipe (it’s right on the back of the can!)

Orange-Avocado Guac

1 green bell pepper
3 garlic cloves
1 shallot
2 avocados
1 orange
Lemon juice, salt, and pepper (to taste)

I’m sure this recipe has an actual, fancy name, but I threw this together from scratch for dinner last night and was delightfully surprised with how it turned out. This works as a sauce, and also a tasty spread.

On Saturday my roommate and I threw a housewarming party… The two of us and another friend cooked nonstop for four hours, and created what was, in my opinion, a beautiful spread of food. The menu consisted of a cheese board, chocolate fondue, guacamole, and latkes. Needless to say, there were no leftovers!
